The Alaskans for Biden Harris steering committee and coalition groups hosted 16 issue-specific townhalls, biweekly phone banks, and at least 10 other events, ranging from Debate Watch Parties to our “Yard Sign Rodeo” to a 100-Plus-Car-Strong Car Parade. Highlights from distinguished guests and policy discussions are below:
Robert Reich, former Democratic Secretary of Labor and one of the most progressive advocates for working people, joined the Alaska’s Working Families Back Biden-Harris Townhall to discuss the true state of the American economy for everyday Alaskans.
Sally Jewell, Former Secretary of the Interior under President Obama and staunch environmental activist joined the Alaska Women for Biden-Harris Women’s March Virtual Rally, sharing stories of her personal experiences with Joe Biden and discussing key conservation issues crucial to rural Arctic environment and communities.
Senator Chris Coons, Delaware, emceed a fundraiser in support of the Alaska Democratic Party jointly hosted by the women’s coalition group and the voter protection coalition group. Chris discussed the Supreme Court, election security, and the future of our democracy in an event benefiting the Alaska Democratic Party’s efforts to defend our right to a safe, free, and fair election.
